Here are some answers to questions you might be wondering about:
Is worship online or in person?
Both! We are currently offering both in person and online worship. We hope you'll choose whatever worship experience works best for you!

What time is worship?
Both our in-person and online worship services are at 9:30 am! Our online worship service is livestreamed to Facebook and our website - you can watch along by clicking here for Facebook or go to burkeumc.org/online. Busy Sunday at 9:30 am? You can watch anytime throughout the week and even catch weeks you might have missed at burkeumc.org/archives. Be sure to register your attendance to let us know you're worshipping with us.

Where do I go once I get there?
Burke UMC is located at 6200 Burke Centre Parkway. You can drive through the parking lot and find a spot - there is plenty of parking on our property. Enter through the main doors off the circle in the front of the building. We will have folks there to greet you. Right outside our sanctuary, you will see a table labeled “Connection Center”. Be sure to stop by there and our volunteer will have a little gift for you if it is your first time and can answer all your questions!

What should I wear?
We are a “casual dress” church but you are welcome to dress as you are comfortable.

Can my kids stay with me during the worship service?
Absolutely! Children are welcome in our worship space and we believe they are an important part of our church family. If you have kids ages 4-2nd grade, they're welcome to join in children's church. They'll be invited to go with our staff/volunteers before the sermon. Have questions? Ask a volunteer and they'll be happy to point you towards Shannon Terranova, our Director of Children and Youth Discipleship!

Do you offer Sunday School?
Yes! We have Sunday School for all ages! You can find information about adult discipleship opportunities here. Children and youth Sunday School meets at 10:30 am each week. You can find more details on our kids and youth pages!

What if I haven't been to church in a while?
We totally understand! We will have volunteers (in churchy terms, we call them greeters and ushers) who will say hi, point you in the right direction, help you find a seat, show you where the bathroom is, etc. We want you to feel comfortable in our worship space whether you haven't been to church in a year, five years, or this is your first time visiting a church! There is a place for you here in this community and we hope you'll come give a worship service a try.
